Claire McLaughlin LMP, SAMP, IHBC, IIHHT
I was born in Britain and came to America in 2004. I had been working in the human massage world for 12 years and when arriving in California with my husband, I had the unique opportunity to change my path.
We sadly lost our beloved Amber, a Saint Bernard, from bloat in 2006 and we continued to grieve for some time - if it ever stops. (See her website at: http://palosverdes.com/amber/)
After a lot of thought of where my future would lie I became good friends with a Mom to a pack of Newfoundland’s and she brought to my attention to canine massage. After a good amount of research I found that the only schools were available in Florida or Washington State, so I had to leave those ideas aside.
Only a couple of years later my husband and I found ourselves moving to Seattle and lo and behold the Canine Massage course was only 15 miles down the road. You can imagine it was not long before I was scheduled in the next class.
So I trained at Northwest School of Animal Massage in Redmond and completed levels 100, 200 and 300. With my extensive training in canine massage, performance animals and rehabilitation I then became a therapist at Heavenly Spa.
Heavenly Spa captivated me when I first arrived, as you will see when you visit this amazing place. I am always happy to come to work and will be here to assist you and your pup when you arrive on your visit to our unique environment.
Whether you visit myself or any of our amazing therapists you will feel the healing power we work hard to create here at Heavenly Spa. So please don’t feel shy and come on by to meet us, you won’t regret it!
We all look forward to meeting and helping you.
